Dad turns 77 today, and yesterday Tim, Holly, John, Mary, Mom and I went to celebrate with him. I was a little worried that he would be overwhelmed by the number of people visiting him, but I don't think it was a problem. In fact, it seemed to me he actually enjoyed himself and knew quite well what was going on. He had just finished lunch and was asleep when we arrived, but I guess he felt our presence, because he woke up and started chatting. The weather was gorgeous so we went outside for cake and gifts. Dad was a bit cold, but we wrapped him in a blanket and, as I said, he seemed to be enjoying himself and knew why we were all there. (He even remembered Tim, which was a first since before Christmas.) The hardest part was leaving -- he really didn't want us to go, and he wanted to leave with us.
I know it's been a long time since we've posted, but I still like having this place to share info.
